Must Have Chrome Extensions for Creative Business Owners

As a creative business owner, I spend a great portion of my day in Chrome. Because of this, I’m always on the lookout on ways to make running my business easier. Luckily there are a ton of awesome extensions available for Chrome that make working a bit easier. I’ve rounded up 9 of my must-have Chrome extensions for creative business owners below.

Buffer

Oh, Buffer. This extension is a lifesaver. I read a ton of blogs and I love sharing interesting posts and articles with my Twitter followers. Buffer makes doing so ridiculously easy. Click a button, edit the description, and you’re done. And if you consistently use it, there’s no reason for you to ever be out of posts to share.

Evernote Web Clipper

Who doesn’t love Evernote? If you’re haven’t discovered the awesomeness that is Evernote, what are you waiting for? The Evernote Web Clipper makes saving code snippets, articles, and anything else you can imagine a breeze. I love using it to save little bits of advice I come across in any of the many Facebook groups I’m a member of.

Grammarly

As a business owner, you strive to come across as a professional, right? And do you know what doesn’t look professional? Typos and grammar mistakes. Grammarly is a neat extension that checks your work so you can look like the professional that you are.

Inbox Pause

How often are you lured into your inbox in a day? I used to find myself constantly checking my email for no reason other than to check it. And of course if there was new mail I just had to read it, which ended up being a big distraction. For that reason, Inbox Pause has been huge in helping me curb my inbox addiction. I simply pause my inbox overnight, on weekends, and during the hours when I don’t actively want to check my email. It allows me to access the emails I need without all the distractions of new ones.

Momentum

As much as I love Chrome, I cannot stand the new tab page. I know Twitter is my most visited site, you don’t have to rub it in. So distracting! Enter Momentum. Momentum replaces your new tab page with a customizable dashboard complete with a gorgeous photograph in the background. My favorite feature is the todo section, which puts your tasks front and center when you should be working, but instead you’re goofing off.

OneTab

Are you a tab hoarder, you know, the type of person who has a million tabs open at any given time? If you’re tired of Chrome slowing down and trying to figure out which tab is which, you’ll love OneTab. OneTab adds a button to your browser that allows you to condense all of your open tabs into a space saving list which you can access later.

Pin It Button

I’m a huge fan of Pinterest so I’m constantly trying to share interesting things I come across. Unfortunately, every site doesn’t have Pinterest sharing built in, which is why the Pin It Button extension comes in handy. It allows me to quickly and easily share things on Pinterest. Definitely a must-have if you’re a Pinterest addict.

Save to Pocket

Every day I’m swarmed with interesting content that I want to read, but don’t have time to. Luckily Pocket allows me to gather the best of the web in one, easy to read place. By using the Save to Pocket extension, I can quickly save articles I come across for later. It’s perfect for when I have free time and I don’t want to waste time looking for something interesting to read. Instead, I’ve got a perfect library of articles tailored specifically for me (because I curated them!).

WhatFont

The designer in me is constantly on the lookout for new and interesting fonts. As such, the WhatFont extension has been incredibly helpful. It allows me to instantly find out what font is being used on any website. Perfect for when I need to know what a certain font is.
